It's time to announce our very deserving February Member of the Month! This time it's Mansehej Singh from Yuzu! The Square Works team agreed that Mansehej is always smiling, considerate and helpful, and always contributes to the Square Works community.
Mansehej is Software Engineer at Yuzu, here is what he had to say about his journey and being a member at Square Works…
Can you tell us about your job? How did it all start?
"I am a software engineer at Yuzu - a SaaS startup that helps e-commerce businesses capture customer attention through personalised inserts that print automatically during order packing.
How it all started? I've always loved solving problems. As a kid, I'd tinker with code files from games I played, and I enjoyed looking for elegant solutions to complicated challenges. That passion eventually led me to move to the UK two years ago to help build Yuzu from the ground up."
Any recent news or achievements you wish to share?
"Over the past few months, I've helped ship some exciting product updates at Yuzu that are now being used by people across the world, which feels fantastic. I've also just launched a side project and have been getting really strong early traction, which is exciting."
What do you like the most about being a member at Square Works?
"The people, hands down. There’s a nice mix of focus and friendliness. It’s easy to have meaningful conversations, ask for advice, or simply share a laugh. That makes even the most stressful days genuinely enjoyable"
What’s one tool, app, platform or habit you couldn’t work without and why?
"Photography. It pulls me out of my head and forces me to notice the world around me. It’s the perfect reset from screens and deadlines, and it keeps me grounded in the present moment."
