You may have noticed all the ‘back-to-school’ displays in the supermarket. The summer holidays are coming to a close and soon we’ll all be back to work. But how do you make the most of the post-summer season?
1. New stationery/office equipment
Maybe it’s a throwback to those old schooldays when a new schoolbag/pencilcase/lunchbox made the onset of September almost bearable, but it’s amazing how much some new ‘equipment’ can lift the mood. Whether it’s a bright and shiny new notebook, a leather mousemat or some holiday trinkery, we guarantee upping your workplace aesthetic will bring only good vibes.
2. Revisit January goals
September can act as a perfect re-set. We’re three-quarters of the way through the year so you should be very much on target for your personal work goals – and, if you’re not? You’ve still got four whole months to get there.
3. Keep that summer-time sunshine
September may be the official start of Autumn, but it’s not as if the weather changes overnight – there are still lots of reasons to spend as much time outdoors as you can. Take a lunchtime walk, have alfresco after work drinks – get your Vitamin D while you can!
4. It’s never too late for new habits
Feeling a bit sluggish after a season of BBQs, ice-creams and pub gardens? Get your mojo back by starting up a new habit. It doesn't have to be health-related - if you've always fancied having a go at macrame or ceramics, why not find a course that starts in September? You could even get a jump on the Christmas shopping list by gifting some hand-made crafty treats!
