The Square Works team has selected our June Member of the Month. I am excited to announce that our latest winner is... David McGinty from Affinity Care!
David has been at Square Works since we opened in 2019 and continues to bring energy and a great sense of humour to the space every week. His presence helps shape the friendly, welcoming vibe we all love about our co-working space.
We asked David someone questions about him and what he does. Read on to find out more...
Can you tell us about your job? How did it all start?
"Affinity Care is a provider of high quality nursing staff to organisations across the Southwest. I started the business in 2004, it's been a busy year as we've just been acquired by a global competitor. I can't say it's been easy. Like a lot of people at Square Works I'm not used to having a boss!"
You've been a member for 5 years. What have been your professional highlights during this time?
"It's been a whirlwind. We moved to Square Works during Covid, so we were around for the weirdness of the lockdown years. Given our healthcare background, it's clearly been a volatile market. We've worked with over 400 healthcare professionals over that time and it's been awesome getting to know them and their lives. Last week I had meetings with two of our biggest clients to discuss the acquisition and I can't lie, the awesome feedback they gave us and the loyalty they expressed brought a tear to my eye."
What do you like most about being a member at Square Works?
"The custard tarts clearly!!! In all seriousness, I've worked out of lots of serviced offices over the years. Square Works is the best combination of being super friendly and super professional. When our business was acquired, one of the conditions was that I was able to stay at Berkeley Square!"
