This month at Square Works we're celebrating another of our fantastic members. October's MOTM is Dan Evans!
Dan joined Square Works last Autumn, and has been a kind, outgoing and chatty presence ever since! He answered some questions for us about what he does day to day:
Can you tell us about your job? How did it all start?
After finishing my master's degree in geology at the University of Bristol last year, I decided to join EPS as I wanted to be involved at the cutting edge of my field. The company covers various aspects of environmental consultancy, but in the Bristol office, our primary focus is using drones to produce aerial surveys of all kinds, along with interactive 3D models.
Any recent news or achievements you wish to share?
Getting started was a steep learning curve and being in such a small team, there was pressure to pass commercial drone operator exams and then get out doing surveys by myself! Since then we've branched out our capabilities and with recent expansion to the team, I've quickly found myself in a more senior position. This all comes with a whole new set of challenges, from learning to manage others to bringing in new business!
Thanks for being you Dan. Enjoy your lunch at The Square Club, on us!
