The Square Works team has selected our October Member of the Month. I am excited to announce that our latest winner is...Christina Karuna!
This is very well-deserved, and the team would like to say a huge thank you to Christina for being such a lovely member of the community. Christina joined us as a hot-desker just over a year ago and has been a very social, warm and bubbly presence around Square Works ever since.
Congratulations Christina, and enjoy your meal for two at The Square Club! Read more about Christina and her work below.
Can you tell us about your job? How did it all start?
"Where do I begin? Over the past three years, my team and I have built a marketing department for a German/Austrian drivetrain engineering and EV tech company called Hofer Powertrain with 22 locations worldwide. The company was in desperate need of better public relations strategies, digital marketing, and internal marketing. Operating in the niche field of hypercars and high-performance electric vehicles, business had traditionally been conducted through personal networks and contacts. However, as they expanded globally, they needed to embrace a digital push. My day-to-day job is ensuring that the world knows about the incredible work our engineers do, with many of the world’s most renowned car models featuring Hofer's products. I provide marketing/business development consulting services making sure the company grows through a strong presence and visibility within the automotive landscape as fast and sustainably as possible."
Any recent news or achievements you wish to share?
"I recently hit a golf ball farther than I ever have before—any golfer knows how satisfying that can be ????. I’ve also cut my coffee intake in half (which feels quite an accomplishment too). I passed my coastal skipper exams last year, so the real sailing adventures can begin ????. And I finally managed to keep a basil plant from the store alive and thriving for about 3 months!"
What do you like most about being a member at Square Works?
"I really love how people are working with friends and those they enjoy being around. It’s inspiring to see the creative and diverse things everyone is doing—it’s so versatile and interesting what you can find here. Seeing so many members who have started their own businesses motivates me to finally take that brave step myself one day. Things that once seemed impossible start to feel totally achievable after talking to someone who’s already done it. Besides, they have some well-organized events and workshops. The club makes it super easy to be productive, social and experience new things."
Congratulations again Christina!
