Square Works’ exciting new renovation into 19 Berkeley Square is due to open its doors in the next couple of months!
The Quarter property development team have been working hard to make sure this previously abandoned listed building will be restored to its former glory – and the ambitious project is progressing nicely!
So far, the team have re-plastered walls on two floors as well as repairing damaged cornicing around the building to make sure the building still boasts many of its beautiful period features.
As is to be expected with such a large-scale renovation project, there was quite a bit of damage but our team have repaired damaged flooring, plumbing leaks and any electrical tweaks, readying the building for design.
Our team have been installing glass partitions to bring the modern Square Works aesthetic and have almost finished installing bathrooms and kitchens.
The stunning glass cupola dome on the roof of the townhouse is now repaired and the building is flooded with light. Thanks to the fresh coats of white paint (and the high ceilings), many of these spacious Georgian rooms are now as light and airy as their counterparts in 17 and 18 Berkeley Square.
We’ve started ordering furniture from upscale local suppliers such as Konk and we’re on track to open our doors to guests before Christmas 2022 for our fourth expansion in three years.
We’re so excited to bring a piece of Clifton’s history back to life – especially since the building has such a rich story. According to records, the building was a private residence for many years before becoming the home of the YWCA at the beginning of the 20th century.
The building will be designed in the Square Works style: lots of natural light, lots of greenery and an environment that is both professional and personal. There’ll be more office spaces, more meeting rooms, more hot-desking facilities – and there’ll also be a gym.
Following the sold out successes of previous phases, this opening will be the last chance to snap up offices at the prestigious postcode. We’ve already been inundated with applications and have only three offices available.
