Friday after-work drinks is something of a tradition in the UK. But how do you get in on the action if you’re working from home AND doing dry January?
There’s been a real growth in the non-alcoholic drink market over the last few years, with most beers now offering an alcohol free (or light) version. But sometimes, a Friday after-work deserves something more special. We’ve put together three of our favourite non-alcoholic after-work drinks you can easily mix up at home.
Fake Spritz
Fill a large gin glass with ice. Mix a healthy measure of non-alcoholic fizz with a generous dash of FeverTree’s Blood Orange Soda. Add a quarter slice of orange and…you could almost be sitting on a Mediterranean terraza. Salud!
Mock Mojito
Let’s be honest – can you even really taste the rum? Muddle a few teaspoons of sugar with around 20 decent-sized mint leaves. You can use a pestle and mortar (or a bowl and the end of a rolling pin).
Fill a glass with crushed ice. Add your mint mix and the juice of one lime. Mix together and top up with soda water. Add a reusable straw and you’re ready to go!
Seedlip and Ginger
Seedlip is a premium, award-winning non-alcoholic spirit. They have a range of three different options, so if you’re looking for something herbal, something with a spicy warmth or fresh citrus notes, they’ve got you covered. They recommend serving with Ginger Ale – perfect with ice and a slice.
